Find Italian manufacturing profiles by product family and understand production-route differences.

Heavy plate and flat products

Taranto's integrated route and the Marcegaglia/Arvedi manufacturing and processing chains offer different procurement options; Marcegaglia Plates is the group's quarto/heavy-plate business at San Giorgio di Nogaro. For each quotation, confirm steelmaking source versus plate/coil processing location.

Beams and structural sections

AFV Beltrame and Duferco Travi e Profilati are starting points for rolled structural profiles. Verify EN dimensional standard, grade and current roll program.

Seamless tubes

Tenaris Dalmine is the main seamless producer; IBF / Tubacex covers bored/trepanned heavy-wall and cold-formed seamless tubulars and special fittings. Distinguish hot-pierced seamless from bored-from-forging and cold-formed routes.

Welded tubes and hollow sections

Coil-to-tube producers include Arvedi Tubi Acciaio (carbon), ILTA Inox and Tubificio di Terni (stainless), Acciaitubi, Padana Tubi, Tubificio Lombardo, Profilmec and Marcegaglia. Distinguish cold-formed EN 10219 tubes from hot-finished EN 10210 hollow sections, and precision industrial tube from structural hollow sections; capability depends on the operating works and process.

Stainless

Arvedi AST (Terni) covers stainless flat products; Cogne Acciai Speciali and Acciaierie Valbruna are stainless, duplex and nickel-alloy long-product producers; Marcegaglia has separate stainless and specialty product businesses.

Rebar, wire rod and special bars

Feralpi (including Acciaierie di Calvisano), Pittini and Riva offer different long-product and downstream-processing portfolios. ORI Martin, Acciaierie Venete and ABS supply engineering and specialty long products. Do not interpret rebar capabilities as a guarantee of structural section or special-bar production.

Forgings and forged rings

Lucchini RS combines railway components with industrial forgings; Forgital, FOMAS and Galperti are rolled-ring, open-die and flange/forged-component specialists. Treat railway, forging and offshore/pressure approvals separately; a forged component is not an ordinary rolled mill product.

Downstream fabricated infrastructure products

TUBOSIDER converts steel into engineered infrastructure systems (corrugated culverts and load-bearing structures, road and acoustic barriers). This is downstream fabrication, not primary mill or structural hollow-section production.
