Arvedi Tubi Acciaio belongs to the Arvedi group. It is distinct from Acciaieria Arvedi, which supplies flat steel. Both are in the same industrial group, but they have different manufacturing and certification scopes.

For procurement purposes, the name of the commercial seller, actual manufacturing works and entity issuing the MTC may not be identical. Obtain this information when qualifying the material.

Products and manufacturing route

The company describes HFI tube forming from coil and also a hot-reducing route after welding. Cold-formed structural tubes are marketed to EN 10219, whereas its Leonardo hot-finished structural range is marketed to EN 10210. EN 10210 hot-finished welded tubes are not seamless tubes. Published ranges and certificates must be matched to the exact ordered size and grade.

The manufacturing role matters: melting, plate rolling, coil-to-tube forming, forging and processing purchased material are different activities and do not grant equivalent mill approvals.

International standards and approvals

Standards mentioned in company catalogues indicate marketed product families, not proof of current site-specific certification for every grade and dimension. Obtain current certificates and their exact scopes for any EN, API, class, PED, CPR/FPC or customer approval cited in a tender. A general ISO 9001 certificate does not establish product approval.

Procurement takeaway

For structural inquiries ask whether the proposed product is EN 10219 or EN 10210, the specific steel grade, OD/section and thickness capability, availability of 3.1 MTC and current CPR/DoP scope. For offshore or higher-toughness grades obtain written confirmation; do not infer offshore approval from construction-product certification.
